Tight hood Protection

I can not say enough good things about SS12 for Jil Sander. I came across this photo of my living space at one campsite this summer which reminded me of the colour palette. Could have done with a tight fitting hood to keep the insects away if I'm honest.

I am currently trying to write my dissertation. Study breaks are my strong point however and I came across these two pictures I took this Summer when travelling around Europe. I think you should always make time for a little child's play.

Design Ideas

These are some design ideas from my current project. I have combined my connectivity ideas with the sporty functional aesthetic of Mother of Pearl to create these looks so far... and of course knitwear isn't knitwear without a pair of matching socks!

More exciting than Christmas

These are my first samples from our super duper Shima knitting machine. All forming their own version of connectivity with the last one taking inspiration from the geometric shapes of the spine. It was a good day.

The Jan Family

I found the Jan Family a few years ago now. They are without doubt my favourite source of inspiration and have proved so for my latest project. Their use of the everyday in a unique way is an idea which often finds itself in amongst my own work.

Hair Relationships

Our current project is self-iniated. I have chosen to design a capsule collection for the brand Mother of Pearl. I am basing it on the idea of connectivity inspired in particular by how the body interacts with itself and what surrounds it. I especially am intrigued by the potential of hair.

On a recent research trip to Paris I came across the modern art museum Palais de Toyko. An industrial space which is equally if not more inspiring then the exhibitions themselves.

Hilde is a fine artist from Norway

Creating an exciting fusion of colour and cut Saco Academy's latest collections showcased earlier this month. I think the bowl cut is definitely going places alongside the state of undress that Hilde finds herself in, it was a photo opportunity I could not miss out on.
